Membership

Why membership?

At Hope Church, we believe that following Jesus is not a solo journey—it’s a shared life with His people. The Bible describes the church as the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), where every member is uniquely gifted and deeply needed.

Church membership is our way of saying, “I’m all in.” It’s a commitment to Jesus (Romans 10:9) and to one another (Hebrews 10:24–25), as we walk in unity, accountability, and purpose (Ephesians 5:18–21).

Our pastors and leaders, under the leadership of Jesus—the Chief Shepherd—equip and shepherd the church (Ephesians 4:11–13), helping us grow in faith, live with integrity (James 5:19–20), and stay grounded in truth (Acts 17:11; Hebrews 13:17).

As a faith family, we worship together, serve together, live generously, and boldly live on mission for Christ (Acts 2:42–47). Membership isn’t about perks or status—it’s about belonging, growing, and going together.

How to Become a Member of Hope Church

We’re so glad you’re considering membership at Hope Church! Here’s how to take that next step:

1. Trust in Jesus
Membership begins with faith. If you’ve never repented of your sin and trusted in Jesus Christ, we’d love to talk with you about how to begin a relationship with Him. If you’ve already trusted Christ but haven’t been baptized, we’ll help you take that step.

2. Attend EXPLORE or speak with a Pastor:
EXPLORE is a one-time gathering where you’ll learn about the mission, beliefs, and heartbeat of Hope Church and what it means to be a member.

3. Connect at Hope Church:

How to connect:

  • Join a community group.

  • Find a place to serve.

  • Talk with a Pastor for a brief membership conversation.

4. Be Affirmed by the Church
Once you've completed the steps above, we’ll schedule a Sunday to affirm your membership during a worship service to celebrate together and introduce you to our church family.
