Hope Missions Offering

Merry Christmas, Hope Church!

This year has been such a year to remember in the life of Hope Church. This summer, we held our very first VBS, with 90 kids and volunteers participating—and we were so excited to see 9 children surrender their lives to Jesus! In July, we expanded our parking lot to create more space, and in August, we celebrated our three-year anniversary and launched two services. Through these milestones, we’ve seen God work in incredible ways to grow our church. Our Sunday morning attendance increased by 49% over the last year! We’ve also witnessed more people surrender their lives to Christ and take their next step in baptism. In addition to all of this, we expanded our FAM ministry and we began supporting two more church plants—one in Puerto Rico and one in Yokohama, Japan.

It’s truly humbling to reflect on all that the Lord has done. Thank you for your prayers, for serving in the ministries of Hope Church, for welcoming our faith family and visitors each week, and for your ongoing generosity and encouragement as we close out 2024 and step into 2025!

I hope you’ve received your Hope Church ornament by now. If you haven’t, you can get one on Sunday morning or send us a message and we will mail you one. This is our fourth year adding a "Hope Church" ornament to our trees, and I pray that as you see these ornaments, you’re reminded of how sweet our church community is and how good our God is. From 2021 to now, God has provided abundantly and has been so faithful to our church. I’m deeply grateful for your partnership in spreading the gospel in our community and beyond, your commitment to prayer and serving, and for your partnership in the Gospel.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, the Apostle Paul encourages the Thessalonian believers to “encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” They had already been doing this, but Paul reminded them to continue in their efforts. This is what we are called to do as well. In 2024 and beyond, we will continue to encourage one another, build each other up, and to “make and send disciples of Jesus Christ”!

As we close out 2024, I am reminded of the “Season of Generosity” we are in this Christmas. Our elder team feels led to take up a year-end Hope Missions Offering to bless missionaries and ministry partners. Our goal is to raise $35,000, with 100% of the funds going directly to international missions and ministry partners. This is an ambitious goal, but would you prayerfully consider giving to this special offering? On the back of this letter, I’ve included a breakdown of how we can meet this goal. Whatever you are able to give, my prayer is that everyone in our church participates in this act of extra generosity during the Christmas season. You can give online or place a check with “Hope Missions Offering” in the memo in the giving box located at the church entrance.

Hope Missions Offering Goal: $35,000

  • 1 gift of $5,000

  • 4 gifts of $2,500

  • 10 gifts of $1,000

  • 20 gifts of $500

Whether you can give more or less, know that anything you give is deeply appreciated and will make a difference for the Kingdom of God!
